Effective immediately, Arbitrator Seal will be assigned to cover the dockets previously presided over by Arbitrator McCarthy in Bloomington, Peoria and Rock Island. Arbitrator Seal's first status call in Zone 3 will be held in Bloomington on Monday, March 25th .

Passing of Michael B. Goldberg

​We regret to announce the passing of Michael B. Goldberg. Mr. Goldberg was a valued member of the Workers' Compensation community. The entire Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission extends our condolences to the Goldberg family. For those who may wish to pay their respects, services will be held at 11 am on Monday, March 18 at Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, 1201 Lake Cook Road, Deerfield, Illinois 60015.

Passing of James DeMunno

We regret to announce the passing of James "Jimmy" DeMunno. In addition to serving as an Appellate Court judge for 8 years, James served as Commissioner with the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. The entire Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission extends our condolences to the DeMunno family. Memorial visitation will be, Thursday, April 4, 2019 from 10 AM until the 1:30 PM. The memorial service will be held at Davenport Family Funeral Home, 941 S. Old Rand Rd., Lake Zurich. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to JourneyCare Foundation, 2050 Claire Ct., Glenview, IL 60025.

Arbitrator Flores Appointed Commissioner

Zone 4 Arbitrator Barbara Flores was recently appointed to the position of Commissioner of the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission. Her appointment to Commissioner became effective on March 15th. The dockets in New Lenox, Kankakee and Ottawa that were previously assigned to Commissioner Flores will be designated as "TBA2" until a permanent replacement is named. Until a new arbitrator is assigned all settlement contracts can be sent to either Arbitrator Dollison or Arbitrator Erbacci for review and / or approval. IWCC's Spring Judicial Training

Please be advised that the judicial function of the Illinois Workers' Compensation Commission will be closed April 10th, 11th and 12th to accommodate the IWCC's Spring Judicial Training. The Waukegan status call scheduled for Friday, April 12th will proceed as scheduled. The Commission will return to full functionality Monday, April 15, 2018.

This new website features an updated design, offers improved readability, and is fully responsive with mobile devices and tablets. ​REMINDER: The June trial cycle in Geneva has been split into two groups of dates. The first three dates of the trial cycle are June 12th, 13th and 14th. There is then a one week break. The trial cycle resumes on June 24th and will continue through June 28th. The split trial cycle is due to parking concerns related to Geneva’s annual Swedish festival being held the week of June 17th – 21st. Please direct all correspondence concerning the Geneva docket in June to Arbitrator Ory at Christine.Ory@illinois.gov.

Commissioner Marc Parker Earns IHSA Honor

​Commissioner Parker has the honor of being named the Illinois High School Association’s 2018-19 Boys Basketball Official of the Year. Commissioner Parker received the IHSA officiating honor at a banquet July 20th in East Peoria. Besides officiating for more than 30 years, Parker also coached basketball at Collinsville High School and at Good Shepherd Lutheran School. He has officiated at the highest level of high school sports in Illinois, the 3A/4A boys state basketball finals.
